Top Shop, Here I come!

Hey BBB readers! Happy (early) Thanksgiving. I'm headed to Europe tomorrow for a work event and a trip to my favorite city - London - to visit my little brother who is studying there. Needless to say, there will be many a trip to Top Shop!

There won't be any posts for the next week but fear not, we return on Monday, November 29th with a special post/haul with all the European treasures (can't wait to jewelry shop at the markets) and my full London "trend report."

See you soon and until then here is a little bling, courtesy of Top Shop UK, of course, to hold you over.

Daily Bling - Thursday, November 17

I am loving Fallon's collection of statement necklace's available right now at Barney's. Bold, fun and all definitely show stoppers, you are sure to stand out in the crowd and make your little black dress pop with one of these stunners.

Our current obsession from the collection? Today's Daily Bling called the "violet mesh bow necklace." We picture Katy Perry rocking this with one of her signature corset satin tops and a fringe skirt but you can also pull it off with a pin-up inspired all black satin dress or really any strapeless little number you have in your closet.

Fallon's Violet Mesh Bow Necklace is available at Barney's for $255.

Antique Metal & Pearl Clip

I love hair accessories and especially love to rock little gems, like today's daily bling, during the Holiday season. Why? These festive little doo-dads can easily dress up a look and put you in "party mode."

Today's bling, from Urban Outfitters, is sweet and pretty and could really add some polish to your look. This antique pearl and metallic flower clip is very feminine and soft, but also has a vintage vibe thats just a bit sexy and "pin-up" like. We'd wear it with a black a-line cocktail dress to a holiday party or with a more casual skinny jeans and chunky sweater looks all winter long. At only $12 its is a stylish steal!

Comfy, Cozy Winter Wear

Something about the cold weather and holiday season upon us makes me crave the following: Starbucks peppermint mochas, baking cookies, online shopping and of course wearing comfy, cozy sweats! The holiday season is definitely a time to hang in with the family, decorate the house and watch holiday specials on tv! Just because you are staying in doesn't mean you shouldn't look cute doing it, though! This year our favorite "mall stores" like The Gap, J. Crew, Victoria's Secret and the LOFT have cute "stay in" looks that would even do well out of the house!

Our Comfy, Cozy Look Breakdown (Clockwise):
  • J. Crew Metallic Jersey Stitch Hat, $32
  • Victoria Secret PINK NFL Collection New York Giants Bling Boyfriend Sweats, $59.50
  • Gap Floral Applique Slippers in Lipstick Red, $29.50
  • J. Crew Women's Sherpa Hoodie in Heather Grey, $55

Emerald crystal cuff

S0 I must be in a gold cuff mood this week but it must be said: this cuff is fab.u.lous! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Where is it from, you ask? J. Crew! I mean, its no secret I love me some J. Crew jewels but I was oh so, surprised when I saw this true art deco inspired cuff while website window shopping last night. The emerald detailing is divine (as is the juxtaposition of the gemstones). It's definitely a special piece; fit for Holiday parties and winter weddings.

The Emerald Crystal Cuff is $98 and a J.Crew.com must have of the season!

J148635

Last week, Rachel Zoe went on air on QVC to debut the latest luxe additions to her affordable line for the home shopping haven. I am still surprised someone as "fierce" and label conscious as Zoe herself would actually have a line for QVC but I am certainly glad she has spread her fashionable style to the masses. I would have thought she would have collaborated with a celeb or a designer to create an actual high-end line but hey, you gotta build an empire from somewhere right?

Our favorite new piece in the line, minus all the fab faux furs, was this crystalized gold hinged cuff. The "Crystal Wrapped Leaves" bracelet is bananas as Zoe would say! Why? It's oh so obviously vintage inspired (she has a crazy collection of vintage jewelry - one I am superbly jealous of) and makes a really beautiful addition to your cold weather wear. The crystal details make the leaf motif look just snowed on. So cozy, so chic and so beautiful for the holiday season!

This cuff is $77 and like all of Zoe's pieces can be found on QVC.com.

Whiting & Davis Checkerboard Cross Body Bag

So, this may not be a piece of jewelry per se but we definitely think this flashy bag is bling-worthy. This striped metal mesh crossbody bag from Whiting & Davis is a nod to the 80s and a whole lot of fun.

We love a good "blingy" accessory for cold winter nights and especially as we enter the Holiday season. We think this is the perfect accessory to spice up any night out on the town look. The detachable strap makes it a great versatile bag. It could go date night to black tie in an instant. At $85 it also makes a great holiday gift for your bff or sister!

You can find the Whiting & Davis Checkerboard Crossbody Bag at ShopBop.

Indian Collar Necklace

In recent seasons, I must admit that I have discredited Free People. Although I was once a fan, I was feeling the line seemed too young or too grandma-y. Just not for me, for some reason.

I can definitely say I am changing my tune this season. Free People's winter catalog arrived in my mailbox yesterday I was lusting over so many pieces! Beautiful silk and lace dresses, pretty cozy knits and the jewelry! Who knew Free People had so many gorgeous, affordable accessories? Our favorite is this Indian Collar Necklace in the multi-gemstone variation. Its only $48 but it looks like much more and has a vintage vibe that's very unique. We love the combo of blue, lime and indigo gemstones - its bright and fun! This would add a bold complement to a black dress or look gorgeous on an all winter white look.

You can find this gorgeous piece and more at www.FreePeople.com.

Who Wore It Better? Kim Kardashian vs. Me?

Okay, I couldn't resist this. My favorite reality celeb and one of my personal style icons - none other than THE Kim Kardashian also decided to be Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween this year! Who knew I'd be on the same page with Kim this Halloween? I am certainly glad to be "keeping up" with this Kardashian!

But it does beg me to ask - who wore it better? Either way, I am just happy to be in such good fashion company!
