Grammy's - Best Dressed

Oh, the Grammys!!! So much crazy fashion I was sure I didn't like anything (certainly did not like Lady Gaga in that stupid egg) but looking back there were actually a few standouts! My favorites from the night are below.

1) Jennifer Hudson in Versace

- J. Hud looked gorg (and oh so svelte!) in this navy Versace gown with silver embellishments.

- Her Christian Louboutin Buckled Heels and Neil Lane bangles keep the look fresh!

- Showcasing one of the biggest trends of the night - the asymmetrical hemline

2) Lea Michele in Pucci

- Lea Michele showcased one of her best looks of all of awards season in a black Pucci dress with lace detail and platform patent Loubotin heels

- Her multi-colored jeweled Lorraine Schwartz bangle )pink,green, black oh my!) was fun and added a dash of color to the whole look. My favorite jewelry piece of the night...tied with Gwenyth Paltrow's hot pink feathered earrings of course!

3) Florence Welch in Givency Haute Couture

- Florence (without the machine) showed us what fun and funky Grammy style is all about in this sheer Givency gown that has a very vintage vibe. Very bohemian and just very Florence.

- A Lorraine Schwartz ring is the right amount of dazzle for the complicated design

As for my worst dressed, sorry Rihanna, but your puff of a gown reminded me of Christmas (or a cotton swab). I also disliked Gaga in the Egg (have I said this already?), Katy Perry in those Armani angel wings, as well as Guliana Rancic's overally complicated lace and satin dress. Sorry G!

Met Ball Style File

Everyone and their mother has covered this year's Met Ball style but because I like to throw my two cents into the mix I breakdown my fav. looks for the evening from head to toe.

When choosing these looks its important to know that I took into consideration the full deal - from dress, to makeup, hair, jewels and of course shoes! (this is an accessories blog after all...)

Look 4: Sarah Jessica Parker in Vintage Halston and Fred Leighton Jewels

We love SJP in this vintage halston dress. She looks positively glowing in the light metallic gold and the Carrie flower in her hair gets us even more excited for SATC 2!

Look #3: Anne Hathaway in Valentino and Bulgari Jewels

Although a little under-accessorized if you ask us (she could have done some bangles) Anne Hathaway looked like a dream in this gorg. goldy-beige Valentino princess dress.

Look #2: Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B and Lorraine Schwartz Jewels

Gwen look so cool in this L.A.M.B dress (her own design!) that's all on trend for the evening in a metallic shade. We love her red lips and layers of bangles as well as the black underlay of the dress. Its just a little rock-n-roll and a lot of pretty.

Look #1: Sienna Miller in Emilio Pucci and Solange Azagury-Partridge

Besides the fact that Sienna Miller is our girl crush, we have to say she really takes home the prize for best overall look at the Met Gala. The hair, jewels, dress and hello, those Pucci shoes! She looks young, on-trend, fun and glamorous all and one. And Jude Law on her arm, well now thats not an accessory you can just pick up at the store....

Countess Luann De Lesseps - Best Accessorized

My FAVORITE guilty pleasure reality show is back! Real Housewives of New York premiered last night on Bravo and its pretty embarrassing how excited I was for its premiere. The season opener brought us to the Hamptons where we "found out" a) Jill sold her Hamptons house b) Luann is getting a divorce c) Bethanny has a serious boyfriend d) Ramona is still crazy

*Found out is in quotes since most of this was already leaked in the tabloids

Beyond the drama - the women were looking very good! We especially loved Luann's polished yet hippie chic summer look and think the single life is doing her good! We were so impressed with her accesorization (is that a word?) and therefore crown her best accessorized for episode one. Highlights include the gorg Pucci headwrap she wore at Ramona's yacht party, the cool south-western style necklace combo she wore in her confessionals (which i am sure we will be seeing more of) and the super laid back oversized gold hoops with tiny diamond star shaped charms she wore for her blowout with Bethanny.

Looking good Luann! So good, we won't even go there and comment on the scenes from next week that tell us you are starting a singing career...
