The Daily Bling - Thursday, April 29

We recently discovered Tree & Kimball, a gorgeous vintage inspired jewelry collection on Etsy
and fell in love! If you haven't been on Etsy, you should def. check out the site. Its a place where people can buy, sell, blog about their own lines and there are a ton of cool, up and coming out of the box designer's on there!

We love Tree & Kimball's vintage designs and gorgeous use of lace, pearls and mix metals. The statement necklace are a fav of ours but we are also digging their really cool earrings. Today's bling called the "Grainne" is descriped by the designer as a "sumptous bouquet" and we couldn't agree more. We would love to see this paired with a silk print dress for a beachside wedding or with ripped boyfriend jeans, tee-shirt and blazer on a casual friday at our office.

And the best thing? The line is super affordable... this piece is only $36. That's right people, we are in vintage love.

Best Accessorized: By the Sea

The striped tee. It's an essential for your summer wardrobe as dubbed by all the major fashion mags and we have to agree! We always love the nautical look of the navy and white stripe tee, its a classic preppy must-have for anyone summering by the shore or in the city. Understated yet fashionable, relaxed yet put together, it's simply a great look.

One of our fav. striped tees of the season is this Saint James Meridien II tee. The classic brand has teamed up with J. Crew to sell some of their best pieces on J. Crew's websites/catalog and in select stores. We think its the perfect striped tee to wear with a variety of looks for the warmer months and below we breakdown four different ways to wear it no matter where you are headed!

Look 1: Blue and Gold

Pair your navy stripes with chic boyfriend cuffed blue jean shorts and accents of gold for a beachside brunch with your girls or popping around town on the weekends.

Look 2: Studs & Stripes

Give your nautical look a dressed up vibe making it suitable for the city. We like jazzing up the striped shirt with gray boyfriend blazer, white cuffed jeans and studded accessories.

The Daily Bling - Wednesday, April 28

The Nautical Trend is back again this summer but instead of accessorizing with anchor charms and ribbon belts, stripes are what its all about this time around. Fashion insiders everywhere have dubbed the "navy and white striped shirt" as one of the must-haves of the season and stay tuned because we will be doing a "best accessorized" styling guide to the striped tee later this week.

In the meantime, we think we found jewelry's official answer to the striped tee in the form of this adorable New York & Company navy beaded and faux pearl bracelet with preppy chic ribbon detailing. This would look really cute with a striped tee, straw fedora, some white shorts and metallic flip flops whether you are going for a sail or just going to the mall.

Super affordable and a little happy preppy pick me up, you can purchase this nautically awesome piece at New York & Company for $16.95.

The Daily Bling - Tuesday, April 27

I was most definitely-inspired by the bling-tastic episode of Dancing with the Star's last night when picking this cuff. I mean, do you ever wonder, how many swarovski crystals they must go through in one night one that show, let alone a whole season?

I've noticed the girls on the show are always wearing layers and layers of crystalized and blinged out cuffs in colors (to match their costumes of course) on both wrists - and I gotta say although I am not a ballroom dancer - there is something about that look I really like! (and I'm not the only one, remember the chic layered of Swarovski crytal bangles Kelly Benisimon from the Housewives was rocking at Fashion Week?). Of course I wouldn't recommend piling on too, too many of these crystal bangles on both wrists and head to the office but I think the inspiration can be pulled off in a really fun and flirty way in the form of today's bling - the Swarovski "Best Aqua Cuff". We'd love to see it paired with some skinny jeans, black open toe booties and a cropped leather jacket or with an LBD for your next formal event!

You can purchase this super fun cuff here but it will cost you, it's $360.

Shoe Trends from High to Low

There are so many cool, new trends for Spring shoes. From clogs to wedges, studded gladiators to open toe booties and much more - Spring's shoes trends are a little tougher then what we have seen in the past few seasons, but super fun and very unique. Furthermore, we are seeing these hot trends come right off the runway and hit our local malls faster than we ever thought possible!

Below, we breakdown some of our fav. shoes of the season and the equally chic "deal" version because let's face it these trends are sure not to last many seasons more then this one.

Trend 1: Glam Jellies
All the top designers did a jelly this season from Stuart Weitzman to DVF to Tory Burch. But guess who else did? Aldo!
  • "Low" Version on Left: Aldo Poduska Flat/ $40
  • "High" Version on Right: Stuart Weitzman Blingy Two Piece Jelly Flats/$158
Trend 2: Studs are showing up everywhere for Spring - our fav way? In gladiator style atop of a sky high wedge!
Trend 3: One of the most "out there" trends for Spring is the utilitarian-inspired open toe bootie. Its partially grunge, partially function but has the most staying power of all three - lace up booties were all over the runways for Fall!
  • "Low" Version on Right: Nine West "Buren"/ $139
  • "High" Version on Left: Giuseppe Zanotti Lace Up Open Toe Booties/ $875
All styles can be found on their individual brand's e-commerce sites, with the exception of the "high" versions which all can be found on Shopbop.

The Daily Bling - Monday, April 26

In the spirit of providing you more affordable options in bling I draw inspiration from Ann Taylor Loft's spring sale going on now online and in stores.

I did some major Ann Taylor shopping this weekend with my mom and on a side note from this daily bling it must be said that I love, love, love their line this Spring. Yes, of course, it reminds us of J. Crew but they also have some other different looks (like super cute leggings and long jersey vests) that you wouldnt find from J. Crew. They also have some great wedges very Tory Burch like in style that we may or may not be purchasing soon.

Today's bling is obvi Ann Taylor Loft and very, very gorg and different if you ask us. We are loving the lariat trend in jewelry for Spring as we are also loving the agate/druzy gemstones we are seeing and this necklace has both. The color of lavender of these agate stones is just stunning and we also love the detailing of the chain - strands of big and small chain links make it very hip. You can scoop this up and more from the Spring Sale online now but you better hurry before it all sells out!

Weekend Bling - 4/24 - 4/25

I'm not usually a huge fan of Old Navy, but I decided to take a gander at their website this morning as I wanted to check out what they had in terms of jewelry - something I haven't done in a looooooong time. I want to bring you some more "affordable" and "realistic" daily bling options and I thought hey, let's see what Old Navy's got.

Well I was very, very pleasantly surprised. Today's Daily Bling comes courtesy of Old Navy, of course, and it's just one of the many on-trend and fun statement necklaces, bangles and earrings to choose from. The reason we choose this bling, called the Ring Velveteen Strand Necklace, is because a) we want it b) its so global chic and summery c) it reminds us of an affordable version of that fab. Kenneth Jay Lane necklace we reviewed in the global chic trend post we did a few weeks back. We think it would look chic on a black jersey maxi dress with some silver embellished sandals for Summer or with cuffed jean shorts and a white tee-shirt to dress up a more relaxed look.

We promised you its affordable, and it is. You can scoop it up for only $12.50 on Old Navy's website.

The Daily Bling - Friday, April 23rd

Ann Taylor Loft has some of the best affordable jewelry of the season and we love the newest items they added to their website for Summer. Inspired by the "islands" this collection especially spoke to me as I am holding on to my St. Lucia vacation memories for dear life at this point...

Today's Daily Bling is called the Mesh-Colored Gem/Disc Necklace and it's the perfect beachy statement necklace if you ask us. With its earth tone scheme and natural materials it would make a great piece to accessorize the new neutrals we have been seeing for Spring. At $44 its a great, affordable piece to spice up your Spring/Summer wardrobe with.

Check it out and all of Ann Taylor Lofts chic pieces for Spring here.

Frilly, Flirty, Girly: How To Accessorize Spring's Lingerie Inspired Looks

Well, its been way to long since we've done a "best accessorized" and we are excited for this post! Spring has brought us a bunch of fun trends. From global chic to rocker chic, neutrals to brights, its a bit of an "anything goes" this season. One of our favorite new trends is the feminine styles we have seen via the lingerie/pin-up inspired trend. Bustier dresses in fun and flirty patterns, dominatrix exposed piping cocktail dresses and flirty and flowy mini's are just some of the ways lingerie is transitioning itself into ready-to-wear in a girly chic way (that we promise is not slutty).

How do you accessorize these looks? Play it simple and classy with just a touch of edge to keep the look fresh. We breakdown our favorite lingerie inspired looks and the accessories to make them pop!

Go flirty and fun by accessorizing possibly our fav dress of the season, Rebecca Taylor Blush Corset dress, with a mix of girly/rocker accessories a la Katy Perry!
  • Botkier Cross-Body Bag/ Saks Fifth Avenue
  • Boutique 9 Grayson/ Nine West
  • Marc By Marc Jacobs Bow Earrings/ ShopBop
  • WGACA Vintage Chanel Double Chain Necklace/ ShopBop

Channel a mid-summer's night dream and be your own effervescent fairy! Accessorize this updated "baby doll" LaROK's Spring Fling Dress with bling, crystals, and sequins!
  • Moyna Lady Bow Sequined Clutch/Couture Candy
  • Ben Amun Crystal Chandelier Earrings/ Max and Chloe
  • Christian Louboutin Open Toe Sequin Pumps/ Christian Louboutin

Jimmy Choo Goes Sporty!

WWD announced yesterday that Jimmy Choo's Pre-Fall line which launches sometime around May of this year will feature a more relaxed style than we have seen before - you guessed it - sneakers!

Jimmy Choo's trainers line is said to consist of a variety of high and low top styles in a number of luxe materials including suede, patent leather and exotics. From the press photo that was distributed we can tell the line will have a vintage hip-hop feel with just a touch of that elegant uptown edge that Jimmy Choo is known for. The kicks are going to retail for somewhere around $595 for a pair.

Now we love Jimmy Choo and I mean we were all OVER their H&M Collection but sneakers, I mean really? We love the idea of a stylish sneak but I think we'd prefer a $100 puma and save our money for a pair of their heels instead. The high top style is definitly cool but then again how much use would you get out of them? Not to mention that this style is very right now and we just know that we are going to see some of the cheaper labels out their do their own snazzy high-top like Steve Madden for instance. But that's just us. If you absolutely love your sneaks and want the ultimate in luxury then go for the Choos! We are especially loving the purple snakeskin "Tokyo" style which can be seen above and can totally picture them looking uber-chic with a pair of leggings and a zip-up.

What do you think of Jimmy Choo's new kicks? Would you spend $600 on sneakers?

I'm back from St. Lucia and in a much more laid-back, summer state of mind! This new found vibe transitions me to today's exquisite, oceanic daily bling which I lusted over during some "online window shopping" at Gilt Groupe's Kevia sale yesterday.

Kevia is known for their gorgeous gold "lace" detailing, beautiful use of gemstones, and African inspiration and we are just in love with this line! Kevia Jewelry's sale on Gilt Groupe is still live and we highly recommend you check it out. We just love the delicate gold and gemstone artistry of the pieces. The Blue Topez Ring just got sold out unfort. but if you love it you must check out their other blue topez and gold jewelry! All the pieces (including a gorgeous matching necklace and earrings btw) reminds me of the crystal clear blue of a cloudless summer sky or the beautiful waves of the Caribbean sea. Both myself and my coworker couldn't resist picking up one of their beautiful cocktail rings and if you check out their sale I think you will see why!

If you just must have this ring also check out Kevia's website for more info on the line and where to buy.

On a side note a very special shoot out to my mom (and devout BBB reader) for her birthday today! Love you mom!

Do You Like It? Do you? Do you?

Check out the new design layout at Booties, Bags and Baubles!! Do you guys like? We sure do. Definitely beats the bag image of the bags and barely legible title over it.

Thanks to the lovely and talented Nicole at The Pixel Boutique for my fab. new design.

I'll be missing in action for the next few days on vacation but back next week with some more new announcements!

Daily Bling - Thursday, April 15

Lucite jewelry is a huge trend for Spring so we are actually shocked we haven't posted something about Alexis Bittar yet considering no one does Lucite quite like her. Beautiful colored lucite cuffs, rings, earrings and necklaces have been a staple in her line since its inception and we have always have admired her pieces for that very reason.

Today's Daily Bling is no exception and if you ask us its truly more than a beautiful jewel but a true piece of art! It may be hard to tell from the image but this lucite and swarovski crystaled beauty is a cocktail ring from out of this world.

The Large Montauk Coral Oval Ring was inspired by a variety of cultures fused as one - part 1960s Boca Roton ladies who lunch, part laid-back Montauk beach sensibility, part Modern Navajo Art and Ikhat designs - its truly a unique yet wearable piece that I am sure the wearer would get tons of compliments on! We really love the way the coral, crystal and gold pieces compliment the lavendar-pink lucite stone. It's so modern yet really feminine and flirty and we just absolutely love, love, love it. In fact, we think we need to put this on the potential b-day list this year.

You can check out all the details on this ring and the other lovely lucite pieces in Alexis Bittar's collection on her website.

In other news, we have some changes coming to this site soon which we are excited to share with you (all good things, people so don't you worry!). We also will be taking a vacation to St. Lucia beginning tomorrow through Wednesday of next week and this vacation will also mean a break from blogging. So while we are on hiatus don't forget about us please AND know that we will be back next week with some super fun news!

Daily Bling - Wednesday, April 14

One of our fav. fav. fav. designers and celebrity socialites Nicole Richie debuted some new Spring items for her House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate lines this week and we couldn't be more excited. We will talk about her new House of Harlow items today but look at later in the week for a full review of her new Winter Kate Collection shoes!!

Our fav. new jewel in her Spring line and today's daily bling is the Enamel Sealed Cuff above. Nicole knows how to do a great bracelet and we cant wait to try on this one in real life. At about 3 inches long this cuff will definitely provide a boho, vintage statement to any look! It's also got a decidingly Ancient Greece thing going on in its construction and detailing (even the seal is reminiscent of some sort of ancient family emblem). We could totally see some beautiful greek goddess would wear with a white flowy dress and gladiator sandals. Come to think of it that sounds like a pretty chic look to wear even in present day.....

At $220 its a bit of a pricey piece but with the right outfit will pull together your whole look! Check out the Enamel Sealed Cuff and Nicole's other new jewelry additions to House of Harlow 1960 at ShopBop.

The Daily Bling - Tuesday, April 13

We know today's daily bling is a shoe, and officially a sneaker actually, but hear us out its STUDDED! If we were Kristen Stewart or maybe Avril Lavigne we totally would go out, buy these and rock them everyday. Who are we kidding, we want them anyway!

We may be a little too old to be rocking studded, high-top converse but age is just a number right? These are definitely out of our normal look but we still think they would look super, super cute with a pair of leggings, a loose fiting jersey baseball tee and perhaps the gorg rocker chic Foley & Corrina bag we featured a few weeks back. Could we pull off this look? We think so. Should we? Well, that's where we are not sure. At $225 these What Goes Around Comes Around Studded Converse are definitely unique, fun and edgy-fabulous but we don't think we will actually make it to our "buy" list for Spring but hey a girl can dream she is an alternative Hollywood It Girl right?

Shoe Lust Continued: Malin A. in Miu Miu

If you follow our blog at all you know that we have been having a love affair with Miu Miu's caged pumps for Spring in this nude/blush color. We spotted them on actress Malin Ackerman at the premiere of her new movie this week and obvi just had to share the pic!

Malin pairs the pumps with an all Miu Miu look - a neutral graphic dress with gold and bronze crystal detailing and a burnt orange clutch. We do love the pumps with this look but would also have liked to see them on her with a more a girly tube dress. We hear via Style.com she is trying to be the next Miu Miu girl which would explain her stepping out in the designer from head to toe...

What do you think of her look? We still are really lovin' these pumps!

We fell in love with the Rachel Leigh Olivia Ring the moment we laid eyes on it (see, love at first site DOES exist). So feminine, so flirty, so sweet it would be the type of ring we could wear every day and not get sick of.

We have been a huge fan of Rachel Leigh's cuffs for some time now but we never have tried one of her rings. The "bow" is a signature look Rachel shows in many of her designs, including her cuffs, but we love how the bow translates to the ring perhaps even more. The rope detailing gives it a vintage vibe that ensures its not overally girly. The design does scream Rachel Leigh to us but its style a super unique look that we see it becoming your signature piece. Haven't you always wanted to be the girl with the bow ring?

The Olivia Ring is only $58 and available at Rachel Leigh Online.

Weekend Bling - 4/10 - 4/11

I'm counting down the days to my vacation (six, yay!) to St. Lucia and just can't wait! I could use some sun, a good tan and a (couple of) Pina Coladas. The Kenneth Jay Lane earrings above naturally caught my eye for their island flavor!

We really, really love these earrings and not just because we are going on vacation, but because they would add an instant just-came-back-from-the-Caribbean vibe to your Spring look regardless if this was the case or not. The Kenneth Jay Lane Multi Stone Earrings feature assorted Swarovski crystals, two-tone resin beads, and metal beads at the scalloped panels. At almost 5 inches long they are the quintessential statement earrings. Clip these on with a bright colored maxi dress and a pair of gold gladiator sandals and you are set for the summer!

You can find these at ShopBop online for $242.

Yesterday we wore our Grayce By Molly Sims Crystal Point Rose Gold Cuff and got so many compliments! It got us thinking we need to head over to HSN to see what Molly is showing in her Spring collection!

There are plenty of great options but the piece that caught our eye is the Vintage Look Medallion Necklace above. It reminds us of the necklace that Joan from Mad Men wears in every episode and that's def. one of the reason's why we love it! We love the tassle and crytal drop detail - it definitly gives it that vintage vibe and makes it different from most of the longer necklaces we are seeing on the market now. It reminds us a little like something J. Crew would do but to our knowledge they haven't. Molly beat you to the punch J. Crew!

The necklace retails for $69 but HSN of course has easy pay so you can split the cost over two months! Gotta love that, right?

Check out this piece and all of Grayce by Molly Sims Collection on HSN.

The Daily Bling - Thursday, April 8

We have found our new pair of go-to every day earrings! Where did we find them you may ask? Our new (old) favorite store - Anthropologie of course!

These were also a find at the Rochester Mall this weekend (haven't I mentioned before how much I love suburban malls?) while shopping with my mom. We both fell in love with these earrings just not quite sure why we didn't scoop them up! Well, at only $32 you know I'll be heading down to the Anthro in Flat Iron to grab them soon! They are so easy to wear and would look really, really pretty with a lot of our Spring neutral looks. In person they are very high in quality and look expensive. In fact, they remind me of a pair of Ippolita earrings that I have always lusted over!

We love the neutral version above, but they also come in blue and grey versions which are both equally gorg. To check them all out head over to Anthropologie's website.

The Daily Bling - Wednesday, April 7

Guys we have major bling lust! We came across today's daily bling on Net-a-Porter and although its definitly an "inspiration" piece for us we just had to feature it on the bloggie!

The Kenneth Jay Lane Crystal Embellished Cuff is encrusted with clear and black crystals in a super chic animal print pattern. It would make a really awesome statement jewel to complement an all black look. We are envisioning it with a pair of ripped black skinnies, a silk tank and cropped leather jacket. A little bling-tastic, a little edgy, it's just enough girly and fun to lighten up a simple look!

And because we just L-O-V-E the way it looks on, we had to include another image, here.
It's a total splurge at $625 but if you want to check it out or pick it up head over to Net-a-Porter.

Are you ready for this Jelly?

I couldn't resist borrowing from the classic Destiny's Child song for this post's title. Spring has sprung and brought back a bunch of lovely trends for us to choose from - the floral look, the military look, even the modified boho look. But jelly shoes? Cute like they were in elementary school or cute like we actually want to rock them now?

Some of our fav. designers are showing jellies in their Spring collections and we actually think that they are very fun and very wearable! Our only caution? We would save them for when the heat kicks in poolside with a cute summer sundress or jersey jumper. We just dont think the jellies cut it for a night out on the town or at a corporate office. We breakdown our fav. Spring jellies below:

Clockwise from top left:
  • Diane Von Furstenberg Jaya Jellie Sandals/ $ 75 at Net-a-Porter.com
  • Melissa Campana Jelly Ballet Flats/ $80 at SaksfifthAvenue.com
  • Chinese Laundry Sweet Caroline Jelly Flats/ $39 at Piperlime.com
  • Tory Burch Jelly Reva Flats (Center)/ $95 at ShopBop.com
  • Stuart Weitzman Blingy Two Piece Ballet Flats/ $158 at ShopBop.com

Today's Daily Bling is a cheapie but a goodie. At only $3.80 the Forever 21 Threaded Tierdrop Earrings would make a fashionable and affordable edition to your Spring wardrobe. These statement earrings would make a good accessory edition to the "global" trend look (we are dreaming about them with an global printed dress and wedges for our upcoming trip to St. Lucia) or look really hot with your go to summer LBD. And at $3.80? Well, there really ain't much to say. Your cup of coffee costs more!

These little babies are on final sale so make sure to scoop them up soon for all your spring/summer wardrobe needs at Forever21.

Weekend Bling - 4/3 - 4/4

Happy Easter All! We were visting our brother upstate at college and unforuntatly didn't have the time to blog (gasp) but did have a lovely time with our family! We even had a little time to shop at the Rochester mall and bring back a beautiful bling for you all!

In lieu of an Easter basket my mom bought me a few goodies (okay including a chocolate bunny) including some super fab banana republic "rocker chic" chained earrings and the gorg Laurete Headband featured above! The Laureate Headband is from Anthropologie and is just another reminder why we need to shop their more often!! They have a truly adorable collection this spring and we really had to hold ourselves back from wanting to buy everything from the hippie chic sundresses to beaded belts and crystal drop earrings.

The Laureate headband is a true gem blinged out with gorg beaded and crystal detailing and super comfortable to wear. It was what we wore in place of the typical "Easter bonnet" today and looked pretty chic if we do say so ourselves...

Hope those who celebrated the holiday today had a lovely one!

The Daily Bling - Friday, April 2nd

How sweet are these studs? We are sorta a sucker for butterflies and just love these little pink and yellow pretties by Juicy Couture!

We found them while browsing on Revolve Clothing last night and we think they would make just the cutest littlest edition to our Spring wardrobe! We love an unexpected stud (think diamond clusters, or actual "stud" looking studs). They are easy to wear and make a good go to piece to pair with the big statement and bib necklaces we are oh so loving right now. These cute little butterflies would look really vintage with the J. Crew Fenton/Fallon necklace we featured yesterday or with a layer of gold charmed necklaces (my go to jewelry look!) We'd also like to see them shown off with a slicked back straight pony tail and blush-colored sundress as the weather warms up.

The Juicy Couture Butterfly Studs are only $49 and believe me these will just put a smile on your face!

The Daily Bling - Thursday, April 1

Hey Fashionable Readers! Sorry for the delayed post today, I am home sick and have been feeling pretty lousy since last night so it's talking all my energy to write this post. I knew what I wanted to write about but somehow to get my thoughts on paper (or computer screen - thats sort of an old term isn't it?) is taking some effort. For this reason I will keep the post short and sweet, really sweet.

Fenton/Fallon by NYC jewelry designer Dana Lorenz has created an exclusive line for J. Crew this year and it sure is lovely! Fenton/Fallon brings their signature downtown edge to J. Crew's preppy yet pretty line of antique inspired jewels - a match made in daily bling heaven! The most impressive piece in the bunch is most definitely the Carrington Crystal Bow Necklace, featured above. Everything about it screams our style! We love the juxtaposition of the ever so fem oversized Swarovski crystals and satin bow detailing on the edgy mixed metal chains. It's uptown girl meets downtown girl in the ultimate statement necklace. That's all were going to say on this one because frankly this piece speaks for itself!

The necklace is available on J.Crew Online and is $295.
