The Daily Bling - Friday, March 5th

As you may have heard the much anticipated Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Movie starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway comes out this weekend. Ever since we heard about the movie and saw the leaked beautiful billboards we have been pretty excited to check it out. Johnny Depp looks especially creepy in it but we just know he will be AMAZING!

A lot of beauty/fashion lines have been doing "Alice in Wonderland" inspired collections in anticipation of the movie launch and our fav. of the partnerships is Tim Binns for Disney Couture. Today's Daily Bling is one of my fav pieces in his Alice Collection, The Alice's Adventures Tangled Chains Necklace. Its an antique-gold plated statement necklace that features layers of chains and "Alice" inspired charms including decks of cards, mad hatter hats, scissors, forest animals, mushrooms, locks, keyholes and more. Kitchy yet still cool this necklace reminds of what the contents of the table setting at a Mad Hatter Tea Party would look like if strung on a necklace.

If you go see Alice this weekend let us know what you think!

We Heart Anya Hindmarch

Every day on our way to work we pass this adorable little Anya Hindmarch store and admire her new Spring Collection. Our favorite bag from the collection is her "Gracie" bag featured in the Tan colored leather, above. Its a shoulder bag, smaller than I usually wear but there is just something so luxe about this bag that I find myself developing a little obsession.

First of all I love the London sensibility of Anya Hindmarch - her designs truly capture the London I fell in love with when I lived their for a semester in college. Equal parts classic and trendy with a bag from Anya you always feel instyle but you don't feel like you are sporting something you will only get one season wear out of.

Here are the dets on the Gracie Bag:
  • Pleated leather shoulder bag with twist clasp fastening to the front, and leather and chain mix handle.
  • Calf skin leather in a tan/camel color
  • Dimensions: 28x21x9 cm
  • Price: About $650
We'd love to see this bag paired with an all white look for early spring. White jeans and a flowy top or a cute, flirty mini dress would both make this bag pop!

The Daily Bling - Thursday, March 4th

Today's Daily Bling is a get-it-while-its-hot kinda item! J. Crew announced yesterday that they added some more items to their final sale and they have a great selection in jewelry!! We have always admired the Bijoux Pear Bracelet and its now available for $30 from its original $68 price point - more than 50% OFF! We love it for its rose gold detailing and light violet crystals - so feminine and fun! There are a lot of beautiful and recent collection pieces on sale including the lovely Dogwood Flower Necklace we featured in our "Spring Neutrals" post!

On a side note, I know I have maybe been abusing my love for J. Crew's jewelry on this blog (and in the daily bling as of late) so I promise this will be my last J. Crew Daily Bling for at least a week (which is gonna be hard)! I just couldnt resist sharing the final sale news with you.

Check out the sale here: J. Crew Final Sale. Happy Shopping and let us know which J. Crew final sale item you pick up in the comments!

The Daily Bling - Wednesday, March 3rd

Anyone else having a busy week? I am completely swamped at work and feeling like I have been running a marathon (and mind you, its
only Wednesday). Haven't been able to blog as much as I'd like to this week, but as a side note to this post, I am hoping you are enjoying the daily bling I have been sharing with you. I sure have been having fun writing and sharing my findings!

When things get crazy, I think its best to simplify life. One way we can do this is with how we dress. I really love Vita Fede's wrap bracelets because they are simple in style, easy to wear and look really chic on! Today's Daily Bling is the Vita Fede Como Double Cone Wrap Bracelet in Red and the reason why I love it is because its the perfect stylish addition to complement a tee-shirt jeans for weekend, a plain shift for work, or a black blazer/leggings look for a night out. It's a great enhancer to a simple outfit because it makes a statement. I also like it because its easy enough to wear with many different looks. It's sort of that" no brainer accessory", that pulls your look together when your brain just doesn't want to do the work...

The Vita Fede Como Double Cone Wrap Bracelet is leather with 24 karat gold detailing and retails for $55 at ShopBop. For more info on Vita Fede also check out their website.

The Daily Bling - Tuesday, March 2nd

Today's Daily Bling is truly a fantastical piece and I only wish the images could do it better justice. Last night, I was particularly excited to receive my Anthropologie Spring Catalog. I actually haven't shopped at Anthro in quite a long time, but it used to be a favorite shop of mine. I don't really know why I haven't thought to check them out these past few seasons - maybe I was sick of their "home spun/hippie look" or maybe the prices just seemed too high but either way I am back to being a fan - especially because of this truly FAB necklace.

I love the Raining Asters Necklace because it reminds me of something a mermaid would wear. All of the loose, floating gold and glistening embellishments seem like sea treasures woven together by hand. Its the kind of thing you would find in a treasure chest at the bottom of a sunken ship. Its almost other-worldly and ethereal in style and the leather and canvas straps only add to its vintage allure.

Of course this is not a piece you could wear every day, or even maybe more then once, but if you have a special occasion in mind or a simple dress you would like to revamp this Spring, this would be the perfect addition to your look. The Raining Asters Necklace is $228 and available on the Anthropolige website for purchase.

Bachelor Breakdown: The Ring

So he did it as the tabloids and reality blogs predicted. He picked Vienna! She wouldn't have been my choice (to put it nicely) but I suppose Jake was really into her. Again, I am not sure why and I surely don't think many viewers who watched the season know either, but alas "sweet little Jake" picked outspoken, controversial and overall pretty annoying, Vienna.

Anyways, if the girl has any redeeming qualities its her good taste in engagement rings! A few weeks back Vienna let Jake know she liked princess cut rings, and the sparkler he picked out for her certainly did look ravishing on her finger in tonight's season finale.

The "ring" is on the right, a princess cut Neil Lane

The Neil Lane Princess Cut Diamond and Platinum Ring that Jake proposed with tonight sat on a pave band setting with the stone itself surrounded by pave diamonds. Its a very fashionable choice and I think fits Vienna's bold personality. Carat weight is not confirmed but I'm hearing its close to 4 carat in the solitaire alone.
UPDATE: I have confirmed the solitaire itself is 2.72 in weight

So what do you think of Bachelor Jake's choice (in both the ring and woman)? And how long do you think this will last?

The Daily Bling - Monday, March 1

I thought we could all use something bright and cheery to start the work week off right! Today's Daily Bling is the Swarovski Nirvana Yellow Flash Ring. The Nirvana ring is an all time favorite of mine. A friend gifted me the clear crystal and silver version of this ring a few years back and I wore it almost every day until somehow, someway I lost it. Its been a few years and I am still mourning its loss but thinking with Swarovski's new colorful Nirvana collection I may just finally replace it this year.

Swarovski has taken their popular Nirvana prototype and candy-coated them for their Spring collection - there is the yellow one, a pink one, a blue one and even a red one! They remind me of a luxe, adult version of a ring pop, or maybe even the kind of plastic cocktail ring you would get out of a vending machine or as part of a board game as a child (pretty, pretty princess anyone?) These rings are so fun and cheerful I couldn't resist providing a group shot of the full collection so you can choose the color that best suits you!
Add a splash of color and a little bit of sunshine to your spring - you deserve it! The Swarovski Nirvana Flash Rings are $170 each and available to purchase on the brand's website.
