Fall Trends 2010: Into the Wild

This Fall, animal print is back - in a big way! Actually the more "wild" the better. We are seeing animal inspired looks everywhere from leopard prints to fur booties. The fashionistas are showing us that there is no reason to be afraid of wearing this untamed look - even all at once!

We like the idea of pairing a leopord dress with a fabulous black fur vest and booties for a look that's a little boho yet sexy. Add a studded bag or a colorful piece of jewelry to mix it up a bit.

The Into the Wild Breakdown:
  • Tinley Road Faux Fur Vest, $69 at Piperlime
  • AKA New York Cocoon Dress, $318 at Shopbop
  • Vanessa Mooney One of a Kind Mixed Bangles, $220 at Shopbop
  • Rebecca Minkoff Quilted MAB Bag, $565 at Rebecca Minkoff
  • Nine West Priska Bootie, $149 at Nine West

How I Wore It Weekend - My New Fav. Fall Look!

This weekend I attended a work dinner with some of my favorite beauty bloggers in honor of New York Fashion Week. I decided to debut two of my favorite pick-ups for Fall, a camel colored chiffon and velvet dress from H&M and my new Nine West lace up shoe-booties.

I accessorized the look with my burgundy Marc Jacobs Stam bag (balancing the mix of high/low), my gold Michael Kors watch, primary colored Swarovski crystal indian inspired bangles and a long gold lariat style necklace. The end result? 70s inspired with a mix of boho chic!

Some detailed shots below:

It must be said that my Nine West Booties were so comfortable and I got millions of compliments on them. A definite recommended must-have for the season!

Full Breakdown:
  • H&M Chiffon Dress, $39.50
  • Nine West Booties, $139 purchased at ShoeWoo
  • Marc Jacobs Stam Bag, (got at a sample sale but regular $1200)
  • Swarovski Bangles, $29.50 at a Gilt Groupe Sale
  • Michael Kors Gold Watch, $250

Daily Bling - Wednesday, September 8

Today we love these art deco inspired statement earrings by Hive & Honey. We love the mix of gold fringe with black and crystal stone details. A little rock-n-roll and lady that lunches all in one.

These earrings versatile enough to wear with multiple looks from casual to work to night out with the girls at the same time being special enough to really doll up a cocktail dress for a Fall event. We'd wear them with an LBD and open-toe booties for a modern take on formal attire.

The Hive & Honey Art Deco Earrings are available for $46 (very reasonable, don't cha think?) at Piperlime.

Fall Trend Recap '10 - All About Camel

Camel is definitely the must-have color of the season and we are seeing it everywhere from clothes to shoes to bags and even jewelry!
The best way to wear Fall's hottest shade is monochromatically. Layer multiple camel pieces together (doesn't matter if they are a perfect match) and include one POP accessory in a different color - such as a bag in a deeper brown or belt in hunter green.

All About Camel Breakdown:

Dress: H&M, in stores only $39.50

Boots: Nine West Vailling Boots, $198 at NineWest.com

Cardigan: J. Crew Dream Solange Cardigan, $158 at Jcrew.com

Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Bag in Cognac, ShopBop.com

Necklace: Arden B, ArdenB.com

Daily Bling - Friday, September 3

You probably already know that I am a big fan of anything with an elephant on it. As a self proclaimed yogi (although I've been seriously slacking on my practice lately) and somewhat of a superstition-believer I love what the elephant represents - good luck!

This ring by twin-sister fashion icons Mary Kate & Ashley for their super chic Elizabeth & James line is not only sentimental for me but super cool! I love when designers find a unique way to incorporate the elephant charm into jewelry and this ring does just that with black sapphire details and diamond eyes!

Elizabeth & James Sterling Silver Elephant Ring retails for $325 and is available at Bloomingdales.

Daily Bling - Thursday, September 2

The LOFT delivers again this Fall with unique, gorgeous jewelry that has me wanting more! This statement necklace the "Stone/Chain Tangled Necklace" is a gorgeous convo of gunmetal chains that have a "rose gold finish" with multi-metallic tones of agate crystals.

We think this is the everyday solution to Lea Michele's gorgeous Emmy's necklace. Wear it with a navy knit dress and channel your inner "Gleek."

The Stone/Chain Tangled Necklace is a must-have pick-up at only $69.50. It's available in-stores and at LOFT online.
