Grammy's - Best Dressed

Oh, the Grammys!!! So much crazy fashion I was sure I didn't like anything (certainly did not like Lady Gaga in that stupid egg) but looking back there were actually a few standouts! My favorites from the night are below.

What did you think?

1) Jennifer Hudson in Versace

Jennifer Hudson at the Grammys

- J. Hud looked gorg (and oh so svelte!) in this navy Versace gown with silver embellishments.
- Her Christian Louboutin Buckled Heels and Neil Lane bangles keep the look fresh!
- Showcasing one of the biggest trends of the night - the asymmetrical hemline

2) Lea Michele in Pucci
LEA MICHELE photo | Lea Michele
-
- Lea Michele showcased one of her best looks of all of awards season in a black Pucci dress with lace detail and platform patent Loubotin heels
- Her multi-colored jeweled Lorraine Schwartz bangle )pink, green, black oh my!) was fun and added a dash of color to the whole look. My favorite jewelry piece of the night...tied with Gwenyth Paltrow's hot pink feathered earrings of course!

3) Florence Welch in Givency Haute Couture
- Florence (without the machine) showed us what fun and funky Grammy style is all about in this sheer Givency gown that has a very vintage vibe. Very bohemian and just very Florence.
- A Lorraine Schwartz ring is the right amount of dazzle for the complicated design

As for my worst dressed, sorry Rihanna, but your puff of a gown reminded me of Christmas (or a cotton swab). I also disliked Gaga in the Egg (have I said this already?), Katy Perry in those Armani angel wings, as well as Guliana Rancic's overally complicated lace and satin dress. Sorry G!

Best Dressed - Golden Globes 2011

How good were the Golden Globes last night? So many of my favorites were nominated and won! Glee, The Social Network and Black Swan to name a few! The fashion was also spectacular with very few stars and starlets disappointing.

Huge trends we saw on the carpet included emerald green, nudes/blushes, pink and red! We also saw a return of more dainty jewelry, from intricate diamond netting like necklaces, and feminine diamond drop earrings.

Hair and makeup was also fierce, and continued the "vintage" trend. We saw alot of french twists and full, wavy ponys and coiffs. Red/coral lips ala the original Barbie Doll (or Mad Men) was all the rage!

Of course, we had a few favorites! So below, we breakdown our top three looks of the evening.

1. Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive
Anne Hathaway - Golden Globes 2011 Red Carpet

- Rocking the "Pink" and "Retro" trends
- With Vintage Van & Cleef Arpels Yellow Diamond Earrings and Cocktail Ring, Roger Vivier Clutch and Brian Atwood Platform Heels

2. Mila Kunis in Vera Wang
Mila Kunis - Golden Globes 2011 Red Carpet
- Rocking the Emeral Green trend
- With Judith Leiber Clutch and gorgeous Lorraine Schwartz gold and diamond leaf motif cuff and earrings

3. Olivia Wilde in Marchesa
GG Olivia Wilde
- Sparkling nude gemstones on her gown help her channel the "nude" trend
- With Tiffany & Co Citrine Earrings and Gold, fierce, Christian Louboutin Shoe Booties
Special Note: She'd be our number one, if she did a bigger earring or cuff. Needed something too accessorize the look just slightly...

New Year's Eve Party Looks: Black Tie Soiree

Hey Lovely BBB readers! Well, Christmas is officially over which means gift giving has pretty much come to a close, returns have probably already been made and its time to start planning what you are going to wear for one of the biggest party nights of the year, New Year's Eve! Whatever your New Year's plans... a black tie soiree, a house party or a ski getaway we've got you covered! In this three part series, I'll breakdown my top 3 favorite looks for New Year's Eve (depending on occassion) that are sure to make you sparkle, shine and show off! Today's look? The Black Tie Soiree!

Inspired by a gala at the NYC Ballet this "Black Tie" look is all about feminity and bling! We love the dusty blue-green color of the dress as well as the embellished feathered one shoulder look. To make this look pop without overdoing it accessorize with crystal jewelry, show-stopping frosted pumps, and a feminine clutch. Don't overdue it on the jewelry and let the dress speak for itself; a small drop earring and one bold piece, like a substantial cuff will do.
Dress: BCBG Max Azria One Shoulder Tulle Dress/ $398
Jewelry: Adriana Orsini for Saks Crystal Pear Drop Earrings and Wide Pave Bracelet/ $145 - $300
Clutch: Nine West My Fave Metallic Clutch/ $49.99
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Maralena Crystal Covered Peep Toe Pumps/ $2445
If you can't afford these truly special and aspirational shoes make sure to check out what Steve Madden and Nine West has to offer - some of my fave for affordable, on trend fancy footwear!

Trend Alert! The Statement Shoe

LEIGHTON MEESTER photo | Leighton Meester

I was lucky enough to attend last night's Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles for the brand I represent. I had a blast meeting some of my favorite celebs including the guys from Glee, Twilight cast and many more! My favorite occupational perk? Trend-spotting, of course!

I love the teen stars because they aren't afraid to take risks! Lot of jewelry, fun makeup and the biggest trend of the evening? The Statement shoe of course! The look for the evening was all about the mini-dress, with a sky-high heel often embellished, strappy and platformed.

My favorite look of the night was gorgeous Leighton Meester's lace mini and Loubotin combo above. But I also loved these statement shoes on some of Hollywood's most promising starlets!

Fall Collection Alert! Louboutin at Saks

Saks Fifth Avenue recently unveiled pieces from Christian Louboutin's, aka the god of all shoes, Fall collection. If the selection on Saks.com is any indication of the full Fall Collection then all we can say is WOW! I mean, chocolate brown, suede thigh-high boots? You don't get more sexy, luxe or aspirational than that.

Our favorite picks from the collection? The unique booties and "shoebooties," like these stunners below. I think its safe to say that the intricate-detailed bootie is the must-have shoe to add to your personal shoe wardrobe for Fall.

Spring Neutrals Decoded

We have been hearing a lot about the neutral, monochromatic trend for Spring. We are seeing the high-end and affordable stores showing a lot of blushes, khakis, lights grays and metallics layered together. As we divert from our basic winter black I thought I'd help decode how to wear these monochromatic looks without looking too matchy-matchy or too clashy-clashy. When done right, you will be looking nifty in neutral for Spring!

Look 1: Golds and Khakis

The key to complementing a simple khaki shift is with touches of white and gold. We've brought this simple Ann Taylor loft dress to life with gold embellishments and a feminine necklace that makes this outfit the perfect updated work look.

Dress: Ann Taylor Loft

Shoes: Miu Miu

Necklace: J. Crew

Bracelets: Kendra Scott

Bag: J. Crew

Look 2: Greys and Silvers

Grey is still an it color for Spring but instead of your winter charcoals it’s a lighter, airy version of itself. White contrasts beautifully against this light grey shade and silver gives the look a punch. Love this for birthday lunch with a group of girlfriends or at a more casual, creative work environment.

Blazer and Tee Shirt: BopBasics, ShopBop.com

Pants: Tibi

Necklace: Ann Taylor Loft

Bag: Botkier

Shoes: Rachel Rachel Roy

Look 3: Blush and Nude

Blush is my absolute favorite color for Spring. It’s a cooler version of pink, feminine yet not girly, this dusty shade looks relaxed and pretty. I love the idea of matching this silk blush top with casual denim shorts and scarf and dressing it up with a pair of sexy pumps and small clutch to take the look into evening.

Top: J. Crew

Shorts: J. Crew

Scarf: J. Crew

Earrings (remember these?): J. Crew

Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Bag: Marc Jacobs

Step Into Spring with Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin Striped Damask Pump

Christian Louboutin. What is there really to say? The name speaks for itself. The shoes tell the story. I don't think anyone else knows how to do a sexier pump than this line, and its clear why women feel the need to drop their entire weekly pay check on a pair. If Chanel is the queen of the handbag dare I say Louboutin is king of the pump.

I am feeling really down about the NYC weather right about now. I am so over the wind, the snow, the sleet and the bitter cold. These shoes scream summer and I think if you have the cash for a total fun pair of super shoes, these could really dress up nearly every summer sundress from bohemian to maxi, night out to backyard bbq.

Although these are a great inspiration, I don't think its very realistic that I (or many others) will be dropping the $850 it takes to bring these babies home. Luckily, bright patterned pumps is a big trend for Spring/Summer and there are plenty of options in the $100 and under range.

The Two Lips Patterned Pumps for only $89 dollars and available at www.VictoriasSecret.com follow the same patterned look of the Louboutin version and have a nice platform to give you feet a sexy boost.

The Nine West Aleksy Pump are not multi-colored like the Louboutin's but offer the same sexy, shape and use of a bright color and patterned material that will instantly off-set a simple neutral or complementing bright colored look. And at only $79 these are basically a no brainer.

Finally our "wild card" the Colin Stuart for Victoria's Secret Tye Day Pump (in the white/green/pink version) although a diversion in the style of the Louboutin's have a similar island, boho feel and will make a statement with a summer look. The combo of the cotten tye dye embellishment with leather heel and platform also remind me of the dressy/undressy feel of the Louboutins.

Which bright statement shoe will you be rocking this summer?
